Colombia is a hidden treasure; land of myths and legends, beautiful tropical forests, mountains and beaches, attractive cities and most importantly: happy and charming people.

Colombia is one of the most exotic, wild, complex and fascinating countries on Earth. An ethnic mosaic expressed on its culture, folk arts, music and handicrafts. A rich mixture of diverse cultures and traditions of indian, spanish and african origin that has produced a unique cultural fusion.

If asked, 9 out of 10 Latin America lovers would say Colombia is their favorite country. It might be the aguardiente effect, but there surely is something magical about Colombia that enchants its visitors.

Bogota, the capital of Colombia, is as exciting and agitated as any other big city in Latin America. Bogota is the administrative, political as well as cultural center of the country, followed in size by Medellin, Barranquilla and Cali.

Located by the caribbean sea, Cartagena de Indias is the most beautiful colonial-style city in the whole continent. Apart from being a World Heritage, Cartagena has the second biggest maritime port of Colombia after Buenaventura, located by the Pacific Ocean.

Very close to Cartagena and also by the Caribbean sea, the highest mountain of Colombia rises: the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, where still remains the Ciudad Perdida (Lost City), center of the Tayrona culture, which has been living there long before Cristobal Colón was born.

To the South, lies the most impressive pre-columbian site, near San Agustin village. There, in a valley of statues, hundreds of figures of men, animals and gods carved in rocks stand since more than 5000 years. Very near by, at Tierradentro, a pre-columbian cementery preserves the memory of our ancestors.

Colombia has certainly more than breath-taking landscapes and historical places. Its great attraction is, without a doubt, its people. Not in vain it is called Locombia! Colombians are optimistic, exhuberant and hopelessly romantic. That's why it's impossible to not to fall in love with Colombia!
